Deconstruction and Reassembly

Take a physical object you no longer need and carefully disassemble it. Document each part, then rearrange, scan, or reimagine the components as new visual outcomes such as prints, typography, or compositions. Consider how it could be rebuilt in a new form.

Drawing Without Sight or Dominance

Create drawings with reduced control, such as drawing with your eyes closed, your non-dominant hand, or unusual body movement. Use simple prompts or objects if needed. Reflect on loss of control in the process.

Changing Your Environment

Break your usual working habits by changing your environment or setup. Rearrange your workspace, or work in a new location such as a café, library, or outdoor space. Observe how the environment influences your thinking.

Making Without Intention

Create drawing tools from everyday objects and experiment with mark-making. Use unfamiliar materials or methods and focus on process over outcome, removing the expectation of a “finished” result.

Expanding and Contracting Ideas

Take a design and push it to extremes of scale, go very large or very small. Translate a digital design into a physical form (print, packaging, installation), then revisit it digitally to see how meaning and detail shift.
